Visual identity project for UMBRA KAFE
UMBRA KAFE- warm place, with a retro twist where one can rest with a cup of delicious coffee. Where did the name come from? Umbra is a natural brown earth pigment, similar to the color of coffee.
My aim was to design a visual identity for this imaginary cafe.
Inspired by PANTONE color samples I have created a logo showing the theme color- umbra. I wanted the logo to be memorable, so I have combined the letter U with a shape of a cup- this way the idea is readable and smart. The logo has been made in 2 versions- color and black and white.
In terms of type- it is a combo of Brittanic bold- which gives a retro feeling, and a simple and modern Acumin font.
Here are few variables of theme pattern- didn't want to overcomplicate the entire design, so I have stuck to what I already had- chosen font, logo and most of the colors. This way project stayed cohisive. I have added some beige and yellow to the mix to grab the eye's attention. The whole thing should evoke the retro and warm vibe.

Menu is cohesive with the rest of design- simple and with same color palette.
